Cassia Networks Launches its M1500 Bluetooth Gateway, Available in Indoor and Outdoor Versions for Enterprise IoT Applications

By

When last we discussed Cassia Networks here on IoT Evolution World, the company had launched its M2000 Compact Cellular Bluetooth Gateway. (Read our full article here.)

The long-story-short rundown:

Cassia Networks patented, secure and scalable enterprise IoT solutions provide “the most reliable and easy-to-manage long-range, multiple-device connectivity, edge processing and locationing for Bluetooth IoT networks,” per the company. Trusted by the likes of Google, Cisco, Roku and Meta (and led by serial entrepreneur and wireless technologies veteran Felix Zhao), Cassia Networks remains committed to designs that break new ground for next-gen IoT environments.

That’s where products like the M2000 come in.

Designed with a super compact size, Cassia’s M2000 Compact Cellular Bluetooth Gateway a.) is user-friendly and easy to install, b.) supports Bluetooth roaming and locationing (4G and Wi-Fi as backhaul, too), c.) can be managed with Cassia’s IoT Access Controller, and d.) can scan hundreds of Bluetooth devices via Cassia’s PureScan Mode.

With this Cassia-focused recap in mind, here’s a pertinent update we can share:

Earlier this month, Cassia Networks announced the launch of its M1500 Bluetooth Gateway (which shares myriad features with other Cassia Bluetooth gateway products, quite like the M2000).

This is why first revisiting the M2000 was the right approach; the M1500 also supports Wi-Fi as backhaul (as well as Ethernet, along with Power over Ethernet, or PoE, supply capabilities), and it is currently available in two version — the M1500 Standard and the M1500-XT. The former is primarily an indoor model featuring an omnidirectional antenna, whereas the latter is designed for outdoor use with a robust enclosure and a directional antenna.

“We are thrilled to announce the M1500,” Zhao stated. “This addition enhances our suite of enterprise IoT solutions by providing flexible, secure, and cost-effective connectivity for our enterprise customers.”
