Connected Platform Delivers Connected Life

By Ken Briodagh September 09, 2015

The connected life is the endgame for consumer IoT, and all it needs to launch its takeover is a platform standards solution, complete with security.

Intelligent Mechatronic Systems (IMS), a connected car company and IoT solutions provider, has announced its DriveSync platform to meet that need. It is designed to deliver a suite of connected solutions, from already available connected car services to home and lifestyle capabilities for the future.

“As a pioneering platform in the IoT space, DriveSync leads the delivery of today's popular connected car services with the technology necessary to deliver tomorrow's next-generation lifestyle-based services,” said Dr. Otman Basir, CEO and Founder, IMS. “Insurers, governments, fleet organizations and consumers alike can rest assured that investments made in current products and services powered by the DriveSync platform are future-proofed in visionary services and experiences.”

DriveSync is delivering connected car solutions for usage-based insurance, driver coaching, vehicle maintenance, integrated roadside assistance, green driving reports, data analytics, road-usage charging and fleet management. In the connected home the DriveSync platform leverages context, proximity detection and in-home smart gadgets to analyze data about home temperature, occupancy, water leak status, carbon monoxide and smoke detector statuses, home alarm systems and door entry to provide individuals with piece of mind through home monitoring services. The newest area of expansion is in the connected lifestyle, where DriveSync can offer users incentives for healthy behaviors and smart lifestyle choices, which are determined by using health telematics to deliver a wellness score derived from steps walked per day, average daily gym visits, and average hours of sleep.

Comprehensive solutions like DriveSync that can bring data from the home to the car and everywhere consumers live and work will help users better understand the power of the IoT and how it can improve their lives. And that’s called a rising tide, so get in your boat.
