Kodiak Networks announced the launch of a series of clientless and client-based mobile applications for business and consumer segments. These innovative conferencing and messaging applications are specially designed to improve the ease and performance of group communications and also expand the current Kodiak Connected Solutions application suite.
Kodiak Networks provides wireless operators with a complete set of mobile solutions to increase revenue, promote community- and group-based communications, and improve customer loyalty and retention.
Kodiak’s clientless applications allow end users to assign a telephone number to a group of individuals that they can use for conferencing, text messaging, or voice messaging, directly from their mobile contact lists. With the group text and voice messaging applications, recipients can reply to the originator or reply to all message recipients directly from the message.
Kodiak Networks’ client-based scheduled conferencing application also allows users to set up meetings directly from their mobile handset. It combines wireless and landline calling functionality in order to fulfill end users’ needs for integrated group communications, also helping operators increase revenue and retain customers.
“These new clientless applications offer operators the ability to deploy services that address 100 percent of their customer bases, while meeting end user demands for integrated conferencing and messaging solutions,” said Andrew Seybold, president and CEO of Andrew Seybold, Inc. “Presently, Kodiak Networks is the only mobile vendor to offer this combination of clientless and client-based conferencing and messaging applications. We view this development as positive for both carriers and end users who are looking to improve the convenience of group communications.”
Kodiak Mobile Conference is an instant, simultaneous dial-out conferencing application with one-touch mobile call origination from the contact list.
Kodiak Scheduled Conference application schedules conference calls directly from the handset with automated SMS notification. It can also schedule conference calls from the Web, and integration with Microsoft Outlook enables saving directly to users’ calendars. It also features auto dial-out or auto-SMS reminders to attendees for dial-in at the start time of conferences. With this application, attendees can join/rejoin with a single click and are instantly auto-authenticated without PINs, saving time and simplifying the process. It also gives information on who is currently on the conference call on any phone without a client.
Kodiak Meet Me Conference has a dial-in conferencing feature optimized for mobile users. Using this application, conference attendees can join from any phone on any network. It also has option for pay-per-use without pre-provisioning.
Kodiak Visual Voice SMS sends voice messages to individuals or groups on any network without ringing the recipient’s phone. Recipient can reply to all directly to voice messages without callback. It also features a visual display showing who left a voice message, including the caller’s callback number.
Kodiak Group SMS sends a single text message to a group simultaneously. With this application messages can be sent to any handset on any wireless network and any recipient with any handset can instantly reply to all message recipients.

Industry research shows that 76 percent of business decision makers say this application is be useful for their employees, and more than 70 percent currently use group voice and text messaging services. More than 60 percent of consumer respondents use group voice and text messaging applications, and 54 percent say they would find mobile conferencing useful in their personal lives.
“We have conducted extensive research with business and consumer end users to determine the optimal feature set for each of these categories of clientless and client-based applications,” said Bruce Lawler, EVP marketing and business strategy, Kodiak Networks. “We are very pleased with the respondents’ desire to purchase and willingness to pay for these new services.”
