The Cutting Edge Is Filled with Data, and aicas Knows What to Do with It.

By

As industries race to operationalize embedded intelligence, many still struggle with one fundamental issue: How to manage the growing flood of edge data.

aicas, trusted in over 30 million embedded systems, has just launched a solution.

Its new Edge Data Gateway (EDG) is a cloud-native platform that gives organizations full control over which data is collected, when it is collected, and how it is collected. It transforms raw signals into valuable insights with less complexity, lower costs, and faster deployment.

The EDG has a live dashboard, provides a no-code setup with automatic agent provisioning, and can be selective about data it’s acquiring.

It was developed for predictive maintenance, AI deployment, and secure data sharing.

It’s been a while since I heard that data is the new oil, but the reality is that data drives value.

Data from embedded devices or vehicles is valuable for decision making in all areas of business. Reliable insights open up enormous potential for reducing costs, increasing revenue, and monetizing data, provided you are able to extract the data relevant to your specific use case from the vast amount of data available.

The aicas EDG provides direct, unified, and cross-application access to data from edge systems. Supporting many different communication protocols, it is scalable across heterogeneous fleets of devices and target systems. Custom dashboards can be configured for data visualization and live data monitoring. Its flow editor allows to filter, aggregate, and route data to third-party applications.

EDG’s uniqueness is that, when combined with the aicas EdgeSuite product portfolio, EDG enables the extraction and visualization of any type of deep data.

Customers will find that the EDG enables the following jobs:

  • Asset and edge-device operators
  • Data operators, analysts, and auditors
  • System administrators and platform operators
  • Edge engineers and domain experts

Edge device operators managing edge devices and sensors need a platform to provision and monitor devices and their health. EDG provides an intuitive, easy-to-use interface that allows users to create custom dashboards and widgets to monitor device behavior in real time. With EDG’s device and asset management capabilities, assets can be managed and grouped by facility, owner, region, or other custom grouping attributes.

Access to extracted data strengthens your business in many ways. aicas Edge Data Gateway enables cases that rely on data from small, embedded devices or vehicles. Examples include machine learning, digital twins, supply chain management, and fleet monitoring. They all require specific data that can be filtered and aggregated using EDG.
