Smart Home Solutions with Smarter Video Capabilities, Courtesy of Ayla Networks and Meari Technology

By Alex Passett March 07, 2024

Let’s talk about Ayla Networks and Meari Technology.

Ayla Networks simplifies the development of smart home IoT solutions. Founded in 2010 as an IoT device agent company, it has evolved now into a full-stack IoT answer to many industry challenges involving hardware, applications, and the cloud. Ayla strives to be a pioneer in the OEM and ISP space, generating immense business value via connected IoT products and services.

Meari Technology hones IoT intelligent video terminal solutions. Founded in 2017, Meari has since integrated R&D, sales and supply chain to deliver specialized, one-stop-shop smart home video solutions. Its core teams are comprised of more than 400 members, each with abundant industry experience to add to the advancement of video and cloud platform solutions for IoT.

With context for each in mind, the following makes a ton of sense:

Ayla Networks and Meari Technology are both pleased to announce their new strategic partnership.

The goal? To create additional “world-class video solutions,” per the official announcement, to their product offerings that enrich automated, IoT-powered home experiences. We’re talking a mix of high-quality, user-friendly camera solutions that leverage the power of AI to facilitate intelligent interactions. (This also holds the potential of Ayla and Meari increasing and diversifying their respective revenue streams and differentiating what they bring to market through new customizable and intuitive video features for users.)

Van Wang, Vice President of Meari Technology, is very much on board with this strategic alignment. “We’re well-known in the video space for developing dependable, low-power capabilities, as well as superior image and voice recognition built into modern, attractive designs,” Wang stated. “In that same breath, Ayla Networks’ position in the smart home market certainly influenced our decision to partner up. Their robust platform, combined with our video technology, will offer unparalleled smart home experiences for users worldwide. We look forward to the opportunities this partnership creates for the industry."

Jonathan Cobb, CEO of Ayla Networks, also commented. “Collaborating with Meari Technology is a critical step for Ayla Networks as many of our partners and customers have asked us to provide smart home video solutions. Meari's excellence in creating state-of-the-art video products complements our vision for a connected home, setting new benchmarks for what our customers can achieve."
