A Smart Before-the-Holidays Decision: Arlo and Allstate are Boosting Peace of Mind with New Home Security Bundle

By Alex Passett November 06, 2024

Affordable and widely accessible home security is incredibly important in today’s world — no two ways about it.

The long-story-short of this is simple: Smartly designed home security services offer real peace of mind to homeowners; they often provide rapid (and real-time) monitoring and emergency response capabilities, deter would-be criminals, reduce insurance costs, and increase property value.

The more that smart home security solutions are prioritized, the more individuals are empowered to take the best-possible measures to protect who (and what) they hold most dear.

Enter smart home security company Arlo.

We’ve covered Arlo here on IoT Evolution World, on TechZone360, and over on Smart City Sentinel a handful of times; when I first wrote about Arlo (read that story here), my wife and I lived in an old apartment complex with less-than-ideal security measures in place. So, that story didn’t really include firsthand experiences; rather, a broader look at the company’s wireless solutions and essential integrations.

In the months that followed, I penned other Arlo-centric stories; namely, covering its second-gen cameras and doorbells, as well as the expansive benefits of the Arlo Total Security service and perks of Arlo’s subscription plans and how they reached new milestones (which, at the time, had just surpassed a milestone of 4 million total paid subscribers).

Then, in February of 2024, my wife and I officially bought our first house together. This marked a huge step for us; we worked hard to afford a new space for ourselves, and it enabled us to abscond from the limitations associated with renting so we could make this house completely and unquestionably our own – a true safe space that could be equal parts cozy and secure.

So, what’d we do less than a week after moving in?

We acquired and installed cameras from Arlo, replete with the feature-packed subscription we deemed necessary.

To be perfectly clear, this ain’t some “#sponsored” fluff piece. This is simply me recognizing how progress – namely, us dotting our i’s and crossing our t’s as we secured our first house both in the financial sense and by way of physical home security – can legitimately open the door for perspective and gratitude, as we now feel. Arlo has been a part of that, and I felt it warranted recognition.

And now in present day (leading up to the November/December 2024 holiday season), Arlo decided to make yet another announcement that will prove to be crucial for many homeowners:

Arlo has officially teamed up with none other than Allstate to offer “The Arlo Total Security bundle for Allstate,” which combines additional professional monitoring, hardware, device protection and more.

“This exclusive package, offered at a special reduced price, helps homeowners rest easy with Arlo’s advanced security system backed by a three-year extended protection plan from Allstate,” explained Suren Gupta, President, Protection Products and Enterprise Services at Allstate. “It’s affordable, simple and connected protection, arriving in time for the holidays when people are on the go and packages are arriving.”

Notably, the Arlo Total Security bundle for Allstate reportedly includes “24/7 professional monitoring, all necessary hardware (such as the Security System Keypad Hub, 5 All-in-One Sensors and 2 essential 2nd Gen Outdoor cameras), and an Allstate Protection Plan” (i.e. a plan currently trusted by more than 140 million consumers and mobile carriers, alike).

“Arlo and Allstate have a shared mission to deliver peace of mind to consumers,” added Matthew McRae, CEO of Arlo Technologies. “The Arlo Total Security bundle for Allstate provides tremendous value, combining our award-winning hardware and service with Allstate-backed protection at an affordable monthly price.”
